Grape Juice: Custom Typeface

This project was based on designing a typeface that contained both an upper and a lower case. The inspiration for this design came from my illustrative style. The process in creating this typeface was long, as I had to first draw the letter in pencil, outline it with an ink pen, scan it, and finally render it digitally in Illustrator. After a lot of work, I have finally completed both cases and will make the font usable.

Grape Juice: Promotional Piece

This was a self-driven project, which meant that there were no restrictions besides coming up with a promotional piece (poster, cd, book, etc.) that would encourage people to purchase your typeface. For my project, I decided to create 3-dimensional, stuffed plushie for my lower case g and j. The overall aesthetic was to appear hand-made, and was to be produced in limited quantities, making it a collectible. The number you see on the box represents the production number out of a run of 100. The front of the box displays a large letter to correspond to the plush inside, which was silk screened on. The box itself was also custom made, to encase the letter perfectly.
